Enrollment

Saint James Christian Preschool is open to all children between the ages of two and five years old.  The Preschool is non-denominational and children of all ethnicities, religions, and cultures are welcome.  Register by submitting an application form with a $50 registration fee.  As space becomes available, applicantions are accepted following an interview between child, parent, and Director.  It will be determined at that time if the child is ready to benefit from our preschool experience.

Ratio

We maintain a high staff to child ration.  Two's program, 4:1, Preschool, 6:1.

Organization

Saint James Christian Preschool, as one aspect of parish education ministry at St. James Lutheran Church, is a non-profit, tax-exempt California organization.  It is licensed by the State Board of Health.  There is an advisory committee composed of parents, teachers, and church members.  The preschool is non-denominational.

Nutrition

A nutritious morning and afternoon snack will be provided.  For those who arrive before 7:30 am, a daily breakfast will be served.  Parents will provide a healthy lunch, free from high sugar foods.

Hours of Operation

We open at 7:00 am and close at 6:00 pm.  We are open year round with the exception of major holidays and teacher work days.  Work days are announced at the beginning of the school year.
